JQOL is the lead structural and civil design engineer for the Northview Middle School project. This brand-new middle school, built on 60 acres, is like no other. Balancing of the site earthwork, moving dirt to raise the football field, and incorporating green infrastructure were a few ideas incorporated that were not a part of the original site plan, but added cost savings for the owner. The structure consists of a combination of steel frame, masonry, and precast construction. Site development includes site design, new utility connections and stormwater management strategies to meet the City of Indianapolis’ requirements which also includes an extended micropool detention pond to treat quality and quantity.
