Location: Indianapolis, IN
Construction Cost: $18,000,000

Frederick Douglass Park is an Indy Park on the near east side of Indianapolis. This project is a new two level
recreational facility with parking lot, landscaping, and playground.
The building is designed to have a multitude of recreational opportunities with a basketball gymnasium, elevated
running track, exercise room, multipurpose room, and more. The structural makeup of the building is primarily
steel framing with steel braces and moment frames. This was selected to allow for long runs of windows and
open, spacious areas within the building. Coordination of architectural features and integrating the structural
members within those features was an important consideration throughout the project.
